New Year’s recipes for children

If the New Year’s party is planned in the evening (or even at night), it is better not to give the child too heavy and fatty foods. If you are preparing traditional New Year’s salads with mayonnaise, then it is better to leave them to adults. A child can make a light version of the same Olivier, reducing the number of ingredients to your liking and dressing the salad with sour cream or yogurt.

It is also better to give up fast food on New Year’s Eve. Any child will be happy to have a burger or pizza on the table, but if possible, it is better to make them yourself. Who wants to start the year with poisonings, stomachaches and other nasty things?

Of course, a children’s New Year’s table is unlikely to do without sweets. But you shouldn’t overdo it with them either. Sugar has an exciting effect on the nervous system of children, and together with new experiences, gifts, general excitement, it can lead to overwork in the child, which, in turn, may turn into hysteria . Average option for New Year’s Eve.

Fruits, vegetables and savory pastries are best suited for a child’s table. Here are some fun vacation ideas.

Christmas tree in a bowl

The most common fruit or vegetable cuts will please the child much more if you beautifully decorate it in the New Year’s style. The simplest option is a Christmas tree!

And with tomatoes and mozzarella, you can make a giant Christmas candy!

Curly sandwiches

Sandwiches, sandwiches, and canapes will be excellent snacks on the children’s New Year’s table. They can also be designed in interesting and unusual ways.

For example, make Christmas tree canapes. This option is not suitable for small children, since a sharp toothpick or skewer can injure the baby or accidentally swallow it.

With salted pretzels, tomatoes, sauce, and olives, turn ordinary burgers into holiday reindeer!

And egg sandwich snowmen will be a great option not only for dinner but also for a festive breakfast.

Where without sweets?

Banana men are a simple, healthy (and beautiful) version of the New Year’s dessert. Here, as with the canapés: watch out for the skewers!

To make this dessert, you will need:

  • banana
  • large and small marshmallows
  • Strawberry
  • red candies for the nose and chocolate chips for the eyes.

Marshmallows are a great option for New Year’s desserts. You can make Melting Snowman cookies out of them.

You will need:

  • sugar cookies (you can make your own, but it’s easier to buy ready-made cookies)
  • confectionery icing of different colors
  • big marshmallow

Apply white icing to the cookies. It’s the melted body of a snowman. If you are baking yourself, wait until the cookies have cooled. Microwave marshmallow chunks for 20-30 seconds. The marshmallow should melt slightly, but not melt. Gently glue the heads of the snowmen. Finish the faces and hands with multicolored frosting.

Christmas tree in puff pastry

A simple savory pie will decorate the New Year’s table.

You will need:

  • puff pastry without yeast
  • spinach (frozen is fine – 4-5 balls) or green onions
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • Butter

Boil the eggs. Frozen spinach fries in hot butter. Add finely chopped eggs and flour and mix well. You don’t need to fry it hard.

Divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll up one half and cut out the Christmas tree. Place the filling on top of the Christmas tree, cover with a second layer of dough and cut along the outline.

Score the trunk with a knife, make twig cutters, and slightly stretch and twist each branch so that the trim is both inside and outside.

Lubricate the pie with an egg and send it to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Invite your child to decorate the finished Christmas tree with cherry tomatoes, olives, olives or something else.

If desired, you can make such a pie with any other, including with a sweet filling.

Enjoy your lunch!
